Cooking Class itinerary
We will pick you up at your accommodation at between 6.45 to 7.15 am before the traffic starts busy. It’s depending on what area you are staying at (our free pick up zone is around Tabanan, Canggu, Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Sanur and Ubud area only) and drive you to our local market in Penebel. Make sure you have breakfast at your hotel before hand as we will not arrive to our Talenan Bali Cooking Class till 9.30 am. At around 8.30 am we’ll start walking into the market and looking to buy some spices or vegetables which may not be available or not in it’s season at our organic farm. After the market tour at around 9 am we’ll cycle or slow drive thru some villages, stop at a village’s temple, say hello to the locals and a visit to a traditional Balinese compound will gives you a bit of experience on how the Balinese real life is. We love to share our culture as well as our simple local food. At 9.30 am we will arrive to our Talenan Bali Cooking School and a welcome drink/Bali coffee/hot ginger tea and a light breakfast will be served. At 10 am we’ll do a short walk into the rice paddy field and learn how to grow rice, vegetables and herbs/some spices at our organic farm. Pick them straight away and cook by your hands and create a selection of popular Balinese dishes in a traditional cooking technique. Start cooking at 10.15 am and finish at round 12.30 noon and enjoy what you’ve cooked as your lunch. After lunch our driver will drop you back to your accommodation.
